Glenn along with his partner purchased Villa Walton in February 2018 and proceeded to complete a major refurbishment of the property before reopening Villa Walton as a premium Bed and Breakfast
Having also operated a rural Bed and Breakfast at their farm in Auckland prior to relocating to Matamata they both have a passion for hospitality and showcasing New Zealand to the world.
Exceeding our guest’s expectations and ensuring attention to detail is something we deliver during every guest experience. Being an ambassador for our region of Matamata and the greater Waikato with an in-depth knowledge of key attractions such as Hobbiton Movie Set, Wairere Falls and The Blue water Springs and the Hamilton Gardens along with some hidden local secrets that will delight and surprise our guests is paramount.
Both Glenn and Mark come with an extensive hospitality background. Both are competent chef’s and Glenn has managed hotels within New Zealand and internationally for over 30 years. Glenn and Mark have also owned and operated a successful eatery in Auckland.
Glenn works full time in the Bed and Breakfast and is supported by wonderful local staff who work both inside the homestead and help manage the extensive gardens that surround Villa Walton.
